Multiple Access Speeds

Companies have diverse needs regarding data transport speeds and cannot rely on any "one-size-fits-all" transport system. Sprint DSL offers a range of bandwidth and speed options tailored to meet the unique needs of your business. Initial speeds for Sprint DSL range from 512 kbps to 3 Mbps downstream (from the Internet to you) and 128 kbps to 640 kbps upstream (from you to the Internet) for asymmetrical service. Symmetrical DSL services (SDSL) will have 640 kbps both ways.

Instant On

With an "instant-on" connection, Sprint DSL provides instant Web tone that allows you to be notified when a new e-mail message has arrived. No dial-up is required to check e-mail. It's similar to the way an office computer is always connected to the LAN.

Security

Sprint DSL provides you with secure connectivity over a standard telephone line. It provides privacy and supports authentication, authorization standards, which enable users to access the Internet in a secure fashion. Unlike cable modems in which many users share the same transport, with Sprint DSL you have a dedicated, secure and private connection to the Internet.

Simultaneous Voice and Data

With Sprint DSL you can talk on the phone while using the same line for high-speed access to the Internet. Service is activated on your existing phone line just as it is today. Even though voice and data transmissions share your line, you won't be able to tell by listening. You will get a crystal-clear digital connection.

Fast File Downloads

Sprint DSL can transmit data up to 3 Mbps over a single twisted pair of copper wires „ a standard telephone line. An Internet or corporate intranet file that normally takes an hour to download using a 28.8 kbps modem will take just 72 seconds with Sprint DSL at 1.5 Mbps.

Easy Installation

Installing a Sprint DSL modem or router is fast and simple. A Sprint technician will install your DSL modem by simply plugging it into the telephone outlet for single users. The self-configuring computer drivers are included on the technician's installation CD. No additional phone lines or special cable installations are necessary since the service enables you to use your existing voice line for simultaneous integrated voice and data transport. Your PC must be equipped with an Ethernet NIC card. DSL router installations will be performed by Sprint technicians. You must have an Ethernet LAN and an Ethernet hub with a spare port.
